Last week I was contacted by a sweet friend. She is taking care of a very close friend who is terminally ill. Her wish was to give a present before she went, a symbol to accompany her on her passage. ⁠
⁠
What I heard in her story was how hard it was for them to talk about the end of life. That although they were going through such a personal and intense process, it was hard to talk about the obvious elephant in the room. ⁠
⁠
We discussed my observation and decided together that this present could work as a conversation starter between them. A ritual to share their experience and make their process more whole.⁠
⁠
I am very grateful that I could contribute to the last phase of their friendship on earth as a ritual designer...🙏⁠
